2020 Level Will Remain For Two Additional Years
The solar Investment Tax Credit will remain at its 26% level for projects starting construction in 2021 and 2022. As part of the Covid-19 Relief Package, this extension has been passed and signed into law in December 2020.
Prior to passage of that extension, the ITC was slated to go down to 22% in 2021 and 0% for residential solar / 10% for commercial solar in 2022. All of these dates have been moved forward by two additional years.
