Y Energy and Solar Generation (Kingston, NY) have kicked off site clearing in preparation of construction of a 7.5MW solar power plant in Ulster, NY. The site ("Pioneer") is one of 4 sites totaling 24.75MW that will be constructed in the Hudson Valley (New York) throughout the rest of 2022.

Pioneer will provide community solar power under the NY VDER program. To date, about 60% of this site's power is scheduled to be sold via long-term contracts to 2 large offtakers, providing an attractive mix of long-term contracts and short-term subscriptions.
